Listers,

I'm trying to open an excel spreadsheet in MapInfo but I'm having a problem
with a couple of the fields. One is created by concatenating 5 other
columns =CONCATENATE(N13," ",O13," ",P13,"/",Q13,"/",R13) and the other is
using the Text function =TEXT(H7,"dd-mmm"). When the spreadsheet is opened
in MapInfo these two columns are empty.

One way round this is in Excel, copy the column and use the paste special
option to paste the values into the column, replacing the formula. This
works but I just wondered if there was a way of opening the spreadsheet in
MapInfo without having to do anything prior in Excel.

Thanks
