Has anyone experienced problems w/ the Grid Maker v1.3 utility that ships w/ MI 7.0?
I recently created a UTM, NAD 83, Zone 10, 7.5min grid using Grid Maker v1.3. Upon laying the grid over a MrSid compressed DOQ mosaic of 4 USGS quarter quads the grid failed to line up w/ the bounds of the DOQ mosaic (also UTM, NAD 83, Zone 10). Tried several other projections of 7.5-min grids created through Grid Maker but to no avail... with one exception Lat/Lon NAD 83 lined up w/ the DOQ perfectly (in other words the Lat/Lon grid was reprojected to fit the UTM raster image). Subsequently I performed a Save As of the Lat/Lon NAD 83 to various other projections and opened them on top of the DOQ... again they line up perfectly. What I am asking is whether or not I'm guilty of abusing the Grid Maker utility (I doubt it), or is the project on the fly capability in 7.0 not functioning like it did in the past? Harold R.
