Anyone else think this one sounds a bit like a sneaky advert? If nobody is using MapInfo and its not installed anywhere - why are you still on the list?
Just a Friday sort of thought .... Someone chose Mapinfo 5 years ago because that's what they were using. Evan's company should probably continue to use MI today because they know how to use it. Our firm has largely stopped using Mapinfo (I'm not even sure if it is installed anywhere right now) because Maptitude (www.caliper.com) does most of what we want faster, easier, and cheaper, and the output looks an order of magnitude better. The balance of what I used to use Mapinfo for gets done in Photoshop and Illustrator. In our business, it's only interesting if I can print it, and the better it looks, the more interesting it becomes.
