It sort of is (a sneaky advert). Maptitude has a very small installed user
base. The more people I can convince to buy it, the more likely they are to
continue to improve the product, right? Other than that we're just paying
customers. If you are *really* curious, you can search for posts from years

As far as why I'm here: old habits are hard to break I suppose. We bought
into MapInfo at v1.0 and stayed with it through 4.02. I keep watching,
mainly out of curiosity, to see if they put something into the product that
would make it worth going back to. I also enjoy some of the discussion about
topics that are only sort of related to mapinfo, like GPS, Plotters, and
data conversion. There are a bunch of really smart people here.
