Hi, I have some data and AutoCAD background mapping, for part of Poland, that I am currently trying to bring in to MapInfo. More specifically I am trying to ascertain what the parameters are for the "System 65" coordinate systems of Poland. Unfortunately MapInfo does not offer a Polish projection, threfeore making the georefenecing a little difficult. Has anyone heard of or used any polish projections and maybe able to offer a little direction?
So far I have found out that there are four "quasi-stereographic" grids, one of which is: Latitude of Origin = 51*40'15" North Longitude of Origin = 16*40'20" East of Greenwich False Northing (Y) = 5,627,000 meters False Easting (X) = 3,703,000 meters Scale factor at origin = 0.9998 datum = Pulkovo 1941 (System 42) ellipsoid = Krassovsky 1940 I am trying to determine the parameters of the other three stereo Grids and the one Gauss-Kruger Grid of "System 65.".
