MapCalc can handle this. You can download the trialware for a look-see. Also check out our site for examples of how to go about visibility analsyis withthe tool.

Hello, I have one question in two parts. I would like to perform visibility analysis using MapInfo. I am afraid that I have to buy additional tools, and the question is - what add-ins for MI can perform this analysis. On the other hand, I have written simple application in VB that can perform simple visibility analysis. This application can check out if certain point is visible from another location and finally I receive grid with nodes containing 0 (not visible) or 1 (visible). I can import this grid into MI and now I would like to find polygons encompassing visible nodes. I tried using convex hulls and buffers, but this does not work correctly. Could you help me me find right direction? --------------------------------------- Jarosław Kowalczyk EKOPROJEKT [EMAIL PROTECTED] www.ekoprojekt.pl --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 2903 --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 2917
