Good afternoon Mappers I have a small table of towns that I wish to convert to a shape file. In MI, I can confirm the datum as Lat-Lon Australia GDA94 from Table/Maintenance/Table Structure/Projection. If I then use the Universal Translator to convert to a shape file, the accompanying .prj file shows that the Datum/projection is "unnamed",DATUM["D_North_American_1983",SPHEROID["Geodetic Reference System of 1980" ... rather than Lat-Lon GDA94. I have downloaded the updated Mapinfow.prj file from the MI website intended to correct the previous default to NAD83, but the problem persists. I suspect that the Universal Translator has no match for Lat Lon GDA94. Any ideas?
