To get relative paths, I'm used to place the workspace in a directory which
is at the same level or before the data and/or data directory.
Exemple1
directory1
-workspace
-data
Exemple2
directory1
-workspace
-directory2
-data
If your workspace is placed after your data, MapInfo will automatically put
absolute paths.
It may look as a simplistic solution, but it works.
