Hi Richard, There are no reported issues with version 7 on the Windows NT 4 (SP 6a) platform. When you say the CPU is "maxing out" with MI, does that occur when MI is started (loading some Mapinfo tables) or when a MI process (query, editing etc) is running ?
Applying the service pack for MapInfo 7 on that PC may resolve the issue. I've just been informed of someone in my org who seems to have a lot of his CPU eaten up by MI. Will upgrading to 2000 help, or could it be that is his machine a dinosaur (sorry, dont know what he's running).
