        This has happened to me as well.  It appears that when the workspace
is saved MapInfo doesn't save the colour of the label line if it has been
changed from the default colour (black).  What I normally do is create the
labels and then in the layout window draw a line linking the label to the
label object.  You can change the style/colour of the line to suit and this
will be saved in a workspace.  Alternatively, you could edit the workspace
and set the colour/line style using the Set Style Pen (width, pattern,
colour) before each new text object.
