I recently upgraded to MI Pro 7.0 and am having a problem with the universal translator that I didn't have with version 6.5.
This problem is only occurring with point data - lines and polygons are not affected. I'm converting TAB and MIF/MID files to ESRI shapefile, for use in ArcPad. The result is that the shapefile is not editable. I have checked the file properties to make sure thay are not read only. I have tried a number of different data sets and all of them cannot be edited. I also tried converting the shapefile back to MapInfo TAB and it was still not editable unless I made a copy of the file and saved it (there was no need to do this in previous version). Any ideas?
