Steve - This has cropped up a few times on th elist. Since MapInfo doesn't load animated gifs the consensus seems to be that an MBX, or external program, with a timer is your only bet. There are various examples of timers on th elist - you may find it easiest to use DDE or integrated mapping. To get optimal performance set the layer with the 'blinking' object to be the animation layer.
