God I love this group!!!!

You guys always seem to have a solution....amazing.

Anyhow the two best methods appear to be eithe DOS or the the shareware "Print Folder" from NoNonsense Software.

DOS:Start>Run Command
CD to directory of interest
Right click menu bar
Select Edit>Select All
Open text editor
Select Paste and there it is.
One problem is you need DOS compatoble dir names i.e 8 characters only

PRINT FOLDER
This programs has apparently just automated the DOS commands in a pop-up window after you right click the directory of concern in Win Explorer. it then asks some options and can save or print....nice uitlity. http://no-nonsense-software.com/

Cameron Crum wrote a nice XL macro which also does the job but I could not figure out how to loop it for the quantity of dir listings which I needed..no fault of the macro, only my skill level

Jacques suggested left click on a button on the Win2000 menu bar. But this I could not find.

Once again thank you for the prompt, multitude and useful ideas......tom
