Hi Scott,

If you use the SearchPoint function, it'll return - via the SearchInfo function - a
list of tablename+rowids of all hits.

If you're working with a selection, updates made to the selection table (unless
grouped or joined) will reflect back to the original table, so you don't need the
original table rowid, just the selection rowid.

Best regards / Med venlig hilsen

Subject: MI-L Tablename and rowid from user clicking within mapbasic

Hello all,

I would like to determine the tablename and rowid based on the user
selecting an object via the mouse pointer.
would anyone have any examples on how to do this within mapbasic.

thanks

Scott
