I have been thrust into the world of MapInfo Pro (v.7).
Granted, I am doing so willingly. I have an AutoCad and ArcView
background, so I'm attempting to draw parallels.
Am I right in stating that there don't appear to be many
resources out there for this program? I have a user manual, but am
unable to find any third-party references for v.7.0. I was particularly
hoping to find a "For Dummies" version.
My task at hand is to import survey data points. I know, I
know, this is of utmost simplicity. Yet, it's not clear what the proper
routine is for doing so, as I can't get my point to properly display.
It seems that this would start with understanding the proper input file
for points. But, I don't know what a proper file looks like for MI Pro.
Would some kind soul be willing to take a look at my input files, then
advise me on next steps?
