Dear All,

Two things I have noticed spent the last few days developing a processing program for
GPS points to polygons.

1. It is still possible to get MapInfo to crash when processing objects...

2. The command Create Object As Union works much faster in Australian Map Grid
coordinate system than WGS 84 Lat Long. The process that takes seconds in
AMG, "takes too long to wait anymore" or possibly hangs in Lat Long.

The first means that you have to precheck input to make sure that it is not garbage.
Something that is difficult to do as you cannot check the results.

The second is a mystery. I have simply changed the coordinate system of the table
that is used as a reference for the coodinate system when creating temporary
tables in the program to fix the issue - after spending 3 days trying to work out the
bug.

Can anyone shed light on the issue?
