I work in Minnesota and am mostly concerned with Minnesota data. I currently keep all
of my tables in Lat-
Long NAD83 with bounds of -360 -90 to 360 90. However, over the last few months I've
been listening to the
different pros and cons to minimizing the bounds on tables and the possible added
precision along with
problems that might crop up later. For instance, will tables with the same projection
but different bounds
overlay correctly?
Other state agencies use UTM Zone 15 as a state-wide projection. I am interested in
any thoughts or
experience in minimizing the bounds and any possible performance issues around
different native projections.
Thanks
