If a WMF file is being created in the PublishedMap directory, this sounds like a bug that existed in the beta version of the Publisher component -- it had to do with a function that created a temporary filename, which sometimes incorrectly returned an empty string. However, this problem was corrected in the shipping version (build 29).
In the "About" tab of the MapInfo Discovery Publisher dialog, is the version specified as 1.0.0.29? If you are using an earlier build of the Publisher component, try uninstalling it and downloading the current version. Dave G.
