As a follow up to my posting yesterday I have the following additions: 1. The GTOPO30 data I have downloaded are all from the mirror site in Japan.
2. The two western tiles seem to be corrupted. It is possible to make the processing from GTOPO30 to xyz text files and further through MI and Vertical Mapper but the result is not proper. Fort the eastern tiles it looks very nice. 3. Downloading big files here in Angola is very cumbersome due to the slowness of Internet connections. 4. It is very easy to create a xyz text file in MicroDem from US Naval Academy. 5. Angola is defined as upper left: x 11.5/y -4 and lower right corner: x 24.5/y -18.3 Now I come to the real question: would someone be in the position to get me the xyz text files which correspond with the areas of the GTOPO30 grid covering the western part of Angola? Any file size above 2 mega would take a very long time to download. Thank yo9u inn advance for your kind assistance.
