Ben,

As others have mentioned, You can read and write Tab files using the MITAB
library found at: http://pages.infinit.net/danmo/e00/index-mitab.html .
I've used this library in several projects and haven't had much trouble
using it. One exemption. It's difficult to handle index files in MITAB for
TAB-files generated by other-language versions of MIPro than english
(because of the different sort-order in the indexfile). But a straight
read-through of tab-files "is a snap for MITAB" :)

There is a list for mitab-users at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

There is a complete VB program (mitab_vb_test.vb) using MITAB to read and
write all information to/from a TAB file (minus indexes) included in the
MITAB distribution file. It should not be difficult to change this example
to read a tab-file and convert it to SVG on-the-fly.

Emne: MI-L Getting Table Info using C/Perl/VB

Hi,

Does anyone know how to obtain all the
spatial/attribute information from a MI Table using
perl/c or VB? I want to create an add-on program for
my SVG program where u just specify the MI Table and
it's spatial + attribute data is extracted and placed
in the svg file without having to go through MB or MI

Thanx
Ben
