Listers,
I am attempting to develop workspaces that would do a drill down
into different regions that my company works in (Country, State,
County/City, Street level as-built images...).
I want to develop this so that, a MIPro Viewer user, can open up the
top level workspace (Country) and drill down to the area they want to
see.
The issue I am having is that the View users have lame machines. So
I would like, after the hotlink has been selected by the user, that
workspace would close and the hotlink selected workspace would open up.
I would like to do this consecutively until the last, lower level
workspace (so they might be able to pan around, zoom in zoom out, and do
what they might do.
However, I don't think the hotlink tool in MI will accomplish this.
My initial tests have been to put in the "C:\Program
Files\MapInfo\Professional\Mapinfow.exe" followed by a "space" and then
the network address for the workspace in question.
It returns with an error saying that the entire string is not found.
Question: Can it do two commands with the hotlink tool? Do I need
to put it in with a different delimiter (other than a space)? Should
the two items (.exe and path) be in quotes, like seperate strings?
As you can tell, I am not a developer. I would appreciate any help you
can give me.
