Hi Mike,

First of all it's a relatively simple task to add registry entries. You can use a 
*.reg file for this if your setup script doesn't
handle it directly.

And secondly you shouldn't rely on default associations when opening files, but always 
prepend the relevant EXE first on the command
line.
