I am running dual monitors on an XP box with an 32Mb ATI Radeon VE dual monitor
graphics card. The monitors are a 21" and 15".
The 21" is running at 1280 by 1024 and the 15" at 1024 by 768 screen res.
I run MapInfo at full screen on the 21" and Explorer etc on the 15" then drag and drop
tables from various folders as I need them. The taskbar stays on the 21" only.
It all seems to work really well even though the monitors are running at different
screen resolutions!

Subject: MI-L Multi Monitors

Dear Listers,
A recent thread re Multi Monitors and suitable graphics cards has prompted
me to put a case together to justify going to Dual monitors.
Apart from a new graphics card and monitor are there any other outlays?
The major advantages I can see are,
Layout window and Map window on different monitors.
Database window and Map window on different monitors.
Run multiple instances of MapInfo on different monitors to allow work on
   multiple workspaces.

Contributions to the advantages list would be much appreciated.

TIA
John
