We have that need here sometimes. The only way we've been able to do it is
by going through a graphics program and changing the amount of color there.

Hello,

Does anyone know how to "Save Window As..." to get a
monochrome (1-bit) bitmap out? They seem to default to
24-bit even when all the MapInfo preferences are "black and
white". We haven't found any solution in the MapBasic
manual nor in the discussion archives but I'm assuming we
are overlooking something simple. Thanks in advance.
