Listers: I am trying to buffer about 5000 scattered points with a 0.5 mile buffer. The purpose is to find regions that intersect with these buffered points. I would think this is a typical GIS query. After executing the buffer command, the new objects have lost all data. The numbers are changed to 0 and the character fields are blank. The buffered table is completely useless because you can't identify the bufferred points that intersect other objects. Is this how the buffer command works? I have selected "One buffer for EACH Object" and "One Buffer for ALL Objects" with the same results.
