Cameron,

    It is possible with a few simple AutoCAD commands to assign the correct
coordinates system.  If your drawing is already at the right scale, you need
one control point and the "move" command which allows you to move one point
of your drawing to the correct coordinate.  If the scale is not good, you
need two control points and two commands : move and scale.  First you move
your drawing with the move command and then you scale till your second
control point is at the right coordinate.  I don't know if you have AutoCAD
or someone to do this for you, but that's the way I do.
