My question is as follows. I am currently experimenting with a bit of freeware supplied by Spatial Plus called LinkPlus.mbx. This prog allows Mapinfo polygons to contain/link to any number of extra files e.g. images, internet sites etc. The problem is that it works on"short" file path names. For example it works perfectly when the link field reads M:\SPATIA~1\VECTOR~1\PROPER~1\LTOLIN~1\LINENP~1\DPs\DP0000~1.TIF or \\WCCNTS3\data\SPATIA~1\VECTOR~1\PROPER~1\LTOLIN~1\LINENP~1\DPs\DP0000~1.TIF
however will not work with M:\SPATIAL DATA\VECTOR DATA\PROPERTY INFORMATION\LTO Linen Plans & Instruments\Linen Plans\DPs\dp0000578p.tif or \\WCCNTS3\data\SPATIAL DATA\VECTOR DATA\PROPERTY INFORMATION\LTO Linen Plans & Instruments\Linen Plans\DPs\dp0000578p.tif Unfortunately I am not in a position to be able to re-name or move the thousands of tif images which we have stored and wish to link to. The MapInfo 7.0 Hotlink function is not a solution either as the file paths must reside as an attribute within a table rather than as a linked field within an Access database. If you have any comments I would be delighted to hear from you. --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 4982
