Many thanks to listers who answered my call for help. My faith in
MapInfo is restored, though it's a shame about my own arithmetic.

Another question. I am writing a MapBasic app to capture details about
our pipe infrastructure in a dialog, and need to enter installation
dates. In preference to a simple EditText control, I would like to call
up a windows date picker control much like the Date/Time Properties
applet from the Windows system tray.

I have found the PickDate app (using a Delphi DLL) from the Directions
Mag website, and it's good, but will mean that a separate DLL would have
to be distributed with the MBX, and I would rather use a standard
windows DLL if one is available.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

TIA
