Hi Bill, I agree and do understand the rationale. However, in this case all that's being "enhanced" is the UI by adding a button to copy an existing menu option. Personally, I would have locked down functionality by (amongst other things) disabling certain coded functions like 110 - Run MapBasic Program. This way, someone can modify the menus and toolbars as they like within the scope of the restricted functionality. I remember that this was done a lot in the early Windows days of Pro. Perhaps it was deemed safer to disable the whole MapBasic interpreter, rather than entry points to it, therefore the loading of MapInfoW.mnu is no more.
