the snap-to thing is bugging me. i need it ON to draw some stuff, but when i select the pan tool it doesn't werk because the snappy crosshair thing is still stuck on a bit near where the toolbar is, so i either have to turn snap off and then back on again later, or before selecting the pan tool ensuring that the crosshair wasn't snapped to anything. at first i thought there was a bug in my mapinfo app and had to keep giving the 3 finger salute, but now that i know what it is, what's the best way to avoid it? should i perhaps alter the buttonpad thing in MAPINFOW.MNU so that SNAP is turned off automatically on certain tools, and back on with others, or is there a better way? (if so, anyone got a quick fix for what to enter?) ash.
