if it "is meeting all my companies mapping requirements" then you should be happy for having a realistic management. i'm sure if you have little else to do than maintenance then you're probably itching to make enhancements, in which case it may be worthwhile, otherwise you'll just be adding another syllable to your software.
i'm on 6.0, and for the most part am happy with it. i have no real reason to upgrade, given that the list of new and improved functions in 7.0 are largely unused by me and mine. i'm not entirely sure having never used 5.0, but i believe a lot of extra work went into database management, thematic/3D mapping, and late-model OS stability/compatibility. ash -----Original Message----- From: Steven Fleckenstein [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Friday, 24 January 2003 6:04 AM To: MapInfo-L Subject: MI-L Why Would I want to Upgrade from Mi Pro 5 ? MapInfo Pro 5.0 is meeting all my companies mapping requirements. Is there any reason I would want to upgrade to the latest version of Map Info Pro ? I am running Win 2000 as an OS.
