I was wondering if the list had some reccommendations as to a good source of information and support for the LINUX system especially for young newbies. My son has recently gotten bored with the computer/video game routine and expressed an interest in learning LINUX. WOW!!! So we purchased SuSE V8.0 of LINUX and tried to install it, however they removed the install function from the CD as they were having problems with it. So after numerous e-mails to SuSE support, we find out that they only support the most current version (V8.1). Thus, since he purchased the late in the version cycle, we appear to be out of luck.
Our options then are to try and get the store where we purchase it to switch (yeah right) or fend for ourselves. So, what say, is there a LINUX or SuSE LINUX e-mail list out there as good as Mapinfo-L???
