I use multidimensional arrays lot in the manner outlined previously, mostly to store application configuration data that is read intially from one to many relational tables. They seem to work well. I have also used them to store other data structures quite a lot.
I also get the occasional unexplained GPFs. Any more information about what causes the general protection faults and how to avaoid them?
