I am currently trying to draw a geological outcrop map on screen in Map Info (6.5). It involves quite a bit of polygon drawing but the table is not very big (ca. 500 rows, 4 columns). Whenever I finish a polygon a message comes up saying "unable to reallocate memory" and the machine occasionally crashes thereafter.
I am using a relatively new computer and the Windows XP operating system. Can you give me a hint how to solve that problem? Another problem involves frequent crashing when I use Vertical Mapper (everytime I create a file in that extension) I suspect most of these problems are due to Windows XP incompatibility issues. Do you have any information on how I can Mapinfo and all associated programs to work on XP? Thanks Thomas
