Hi,
I've tried to connect MIPro 6.5 to a MySQL database, and mostly it works ok.
I seem to be able to open tables in MySQL for editing.
But I'm unable to save any changes made in the local copy back to the database. I've
also tried LiveODBC/no cache, but with the same problem.
The error message is "... Transactions are not enabled".
Has anyone encountered this or similar problems before ? Maybe with other databases ?
Is this perhaps a problem caused by some unsupported transactional feature in the ODBC
driver causes by additional demands set by MIPro ??
Does anyone know if this is a version 6.5+ problem, or occurs in previous versions too
?
As a work-around I've tried to use Server_Connect and Server_Execute("Insert Into...")
instead, and that works perfectly.
But the performance is not good, so I'm hoping to get the "normal" connection method
working.
I've used both the release and the latest MyODBC drivers (2.5 and 3.5), but both fail
the same way.
All insights will be appriciated.
Best regards / Med venlig hilsen
Lars V. Nielsen
