You can click on the layout window first to make it the
"front window", then type the following into the mapbasic
window, and then hit 'enter':

Set Window Frontwindow() Title "yourtitle"

Of course, there are more elegant ways to set the name up
programmatically if you are creating batches of maps but it
sounds like this one line will serve your needs.  Hope it
helps.

Hi all

Is there a way to name the layout window?
Eg like the map window manager.mbx

The reason being when I send a print job to the hp designjet
800 it keeps a
list of previous print jobs.  However it is hard to remember
which print job
I want to print out because they are all named layout 1,
layout 2 etc
