Nice little trick, Bill, but it does not beat having a real HOLLOW or OUTLINE font because the body of the characters obtained in your way is not transparent. For very large font, the total effect of transparency is best obtained with appropriate fonts
You can look in font libraries like http://www.fontfile.com/fonts.php As it is a recurrent, if not frequent question, I will try to set up something on my site. Set your text color to white, turn on "halo" and set its color to black. That will give you an outlined font. -- - Bill Thoen ------------------------------------------------------------ GISnet, 1401 Walnut St., Suite C, Boulder, CO 80302 tel: 303-786-9961, fax: 303-443-4856 --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 5666 --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 5671
