I'm running a Mapbasic script to buffer a table of lines and then trim the resulting buffers with another table. The buffers are then buffered into a new table, which is trimmed, and so on.
I'm getting this message -
All or part of Object(s) invalid. The operation could not be completed.
From some experimentation, I found that the buffers which caused this error and stopped the script could be buffered once I used Snap/Thin to reduce the number of nodes. However, inserting a Thin command into my Mapbasic seemed to cause more incidents of this error than without it, so I have now removed it again. I can't replicate the error on every run of the script, which makes it hard to track down...
Any thoughts on the origins of this error message and what it implies about the underlying state of my polygons?
