About a week or so ago, one of the British TV news channels showed a piece on the US Mobile Command Centre. For a few seconds a camera shot showed a map display of the Middle East. As I'm a sad sort of person who maintains a world map product and has to research border changes, I was surprised to see that it was out of date! The biggest error was the Saudi / Yemen border which changed some time ago now (2 years ago from memory). Fortunately nothing nearer Iraq seemed to be out of order but never-the-less, one would have thought that technology exposed to the public via the press would not be flawed in any way!
