I am working on a GPS fleet tracking application using MapX 4.5.1 with Delphi 6.
Bitmap features are created to represent vehicles. Depending on the particular state of the vehicle, its colour is modified by setting the SymbolBitMapColor property of the feature and then SymbolBitmapOverrideColor to TRUE. From time to time the state of the vehicle changes and the SymbolBitmapOverrideColor may be set FALSE to return the original bitmap colour and detail.
Under testing (ie. within about 1000 colour changes at a rate of 1 every 5 seconds) , the application will occasionally crash and report an access violation with a read of address 0 where the SymbolBitmapOverrideColor property is changed. Have checked for memory leaks etc.
Has anyone experienced a problem with this before?
