I'm a newbie to the group and hope I can contribute in the discussion. I work for a major newspaper. Here's what I'm trying to do. I have a list of subscribers that all have route numbers attached to the records. After geocoding the addresses I want to be able to create a polygon for each route by grouping the subscribers together. I also want to snap the polygons to either the streets or zip codes. We have some old third party software that does this but it shoots hundreds of polygons into the middle of the ocean. The zip code boundaries are nice and straight and usually border major roads.
