HI Renee, There is a way to accomplish this. It entails using some simple MapBasaic commands. I forget the particulars but hopefully someone else will chime in.
Basically open the MapBasic window in your session. There is a simple command that will create the buffers around each point. This process retains all of the attribute data from the original point. Sorry i forgot the particulars. good luck Timothy M. I'm using an Update Column and joining the two tables together based on obj within obj, but Mapinfo only grabs the first record that is within the buffer since the points are close together. Is there a way to update the buffer layer with the object it was buffered on only? thanks, Renee Rene Gerasimtchouk --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 7065 --------------------------------------------------------------------- List hosting provided by Directions Magazine | www.directionsmag.com | To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message number: 7066
