Hi, I'm a newbie to MapInfo. I have a question about accessing OCX files in two ways but up front I'd like to ask "Is this something I want to do". By that I mean "Is there an inherent buggieness to doing so that makes it something most people try and give up on due to instability or other issues".
Assuming the above is not a big deal I'd like to access OCX files from MapBasic simply to access their functionality in a silent mode(no gui or visible control on the desktop). The second mode I'd like to access them with would be in a gui mode on the desktop. Ideally I'd like to embed OCX objects in the MI forms but not sure if this is possible. I'm on a Windows 2000 platform using version 7 MI Professional. If either of the above are possible, please send an example if you have on.
