Hi Simon,

Did you remember to issue the statement "Set Coordsys Table my_table" prior to running
the "update table" ?

Subject: MI-L Create line

Hi,

    I have a problem creating lines from tabular data. I have an excel
table with 5 columns ID, X, Y, X_2, Y_2. I import it into MapInfo and then
save copy it as a new table. I open the new table, set it mappable and set
the projection correctly. The coordinates are in float format.

I use the following MB statement to create the lines : update my_table set
obj=createline(X, Y, X_2, Y_2)

And then, nothing happens...

Anyone got an idea?

Thanks

Simon Roy
