Hello all,

I am attempting to use MapInfo to map sub-surface geology from well data.
The zones that I am mapping are not continuous throughout the data set area
(for those geologists I'm mapping oolite deposits within a limestone
formation). What form of grid/interpolation is best suited for the mapping
of this?

I have attempted to use Nearest Neighbor and Krigging but found that the MI
tables insists on having a zero value for elevation where there isn't data
(ex. the zone is absent). The result of this is a false elevation map. I
attempted to extract all the wells with elevation values (leaving out those
where the zone did not exist) but when the grid was made it was (of course)
continuous over the entire area.

Thanks in advance for any help that is given!
