Hi there, Thanks to all who replied to my request for help this morning. The solution that worked best was to save the A4 layout window as 135cm width and as a jpeg. That was the maximum dpi it would save and then it looks fine in other programs, its also a manageable file size. Using .tif the colour was lost/changed when the map was printed in word. I am using MI 6.5 so I didn't have the option of changing the dpi directly as was also suggested. cheers, Suzanne.
