Frank,

There is a limit on the number of columns MS Access and MapInfo
supports. Access 2000 only supports 255 (I think) columns in a single
table. MapInfo has a similar limitation.

MS Access can have problems when you have around 20,000+ records in a
table. Also you might want to reconsider your database design, 200+
columns is a lot of data in one table.

Subject: MI-L Limit on Fields in an MDB?

This question has probably been asked a million times, but I'm going to
ask it again:

Is there a limit to the number of columns/fields in an Access file (MDB)
that MapInfo can read?

I just tried to open a table in an MDB where the table has 225 fields
and got an error.
