Hello Kevin,

Unfortunately there is virtually nothing in the way of large-scale
cheap/public domain mapping in Europe. One option for the future is to use
web services for data that is rarely needed on a pay-per-access basis. For
viewing only, you could use such services with the forthcoming v7.5 of Pro
(which includes a Web Map Service (WMS) client).

Subject: MI-L GIS files for Rome, Italy, area

Does anyone know where I can obtain reasonably detailed MapInfo tables (or
*.shp files) for the area of Rome, Italy, without costing me an arm and a
leg? This is for a personal (non-profit) project. I have downloaded the
tables for Italy from geocomm.com, but they are too small-scale.

Thanks,

Kevin Twine
