One easy way is to use the one of the Query builders. Choose in order of appearance the fields of your choice. Make sure to save in a table named like smaller_table for exemple Add smaller_table in the layer control. Remove or undisplay or unselect the base table in the layer control.
The info will show the fields selected in the order selected. Also, By default, in the list of files overlayed in a location show for every layer the first column of data in the info browswer. Changing the labels parameters change the info shown in the info tool. If you change the labels setting in the layer control, the changes will refect in the browser of the info tool. Ex: if you choose to label a layer with the display parameters set like field one + field 2 (you just have to set the labels parameter, activating the dispay of labels is optionnal) it will show those info in the info tools preview when there is a list of layers in a specific location field 1 field 2. Useful to see the 2 or 3 field of major interest when having multiple layers on which you can set those parameters. (Usually one will add some text and spaces for easier reading...) Howdy, folks. I know I can control the fields that show in a browser, but then when I do the Info Tool, it shows ALL of the attribute fields of my TAB, not what I told the Browser to show...so it's obviously not obeying the Browser fields. Can anyone tell me how to tell the Info Tool which fields to show or not show? Thanks.
