I just ran into that problem today.  I used the export function under the
table menu.  Exported the file to .dxf.  When the drafting guy brought it up
(we are both using TN state pland NAD 27) the point file did not overlay his
basemap properly.  When I exported I accepted the default setup.

Any pointers out there on this would help redeem me....lol

Thanks for the people who responded to my first email.
Yeah, universal translator / "Export" work pretty
good, but that's not the problem which I really want
to solve. I did export the mapinfo file to Autocad
format(i.e. Contour line), but the result appeared
like my file can not overlay well the basemap did by
drafting department (use Autocad), probably we are
using the different coordinate system or sth wrong?
Does anybody has similar problem before?
